Holland Area
Optional One-Way Shuttle Service
The PWC Shuttle Service is probably the most efficient and stress-free method to participate in the Grand Tour. Even land participants have the option to take advantage of this service. Once you arrive in Mackinaw City after riding in motor coach comfort, have no fear; chances are pretty good that you can catch a ride with one of our many Land Support Personnel as you follow the on-water participants on this year’s course. For more detail on the PWC Shuttle Service, see the information listed earlier in this packet.
Mackinaw Area
The best way to experience the sights, sounds and smells of Mackinaw City is to enjoy the summer evening on foot! With Main Street only a leasurly walk from the Aqua Grand Mackinaw Inn, you’ll truly enjoy your Wednesday night ‘on the town’ without the need for any motor transportation. There will be some of the Land Support vehicles going to and from the hotel. So if you prefer to get around that way, be sure to ask!
Traverse City Area
Shuttle from Traverse City Marina to and from the Days Inn and Suites
After the first day of the Grand Tour, and upon our arrival in Traverse City, we will first refuel, then secure all watercraft at the Clinch Marina. Participants will then board a Land Support vehicle which will take them to the Days Inn and Suites in Traverse City. When you wake up in the morning and after a terrific breakfast prepared for us by Traverse City Lions Club, we will load our luggage on to the Baggage Vehicle and get back to the Clinch Marina.
Ludington Area
Shuttle from Harbor View Marina to and from the Ramada Inn
At the conclusion of the second day of the tour and after immediately securing all watercraft at the Harbor View Marina, participants will be able to catch a warm, comfortable shuttle bus that will take them directly to the Ramada Inn Hotel in Ludington. The shuttle bus will be provided through the courtesy of Mr. Kurt Boon and the Ludington Area Mass Transit Authority. This bus will also be waiting to take you back to the Harbor View Marina the first thing in morning.
